From his isolated and rural home deep in the Texas hill country, experimental multi-instrumentalist Chris Cones institutes his brooding solo project as Skullcaster. Cones’ blend of noise, ambient and experimental music show his blatant disregard for traditional song structure through the abstract and often harsh deconstruction of sound waves. Skullcaster’s refined sense of composition moves between intense walls of chaos to damaged arrangements of abstruse melody and rhythm, embracing his own uncategorizable havoc. Cones leads an autonomous existence, completely off-the-grid and immersed in solitude.
